The court in session
Rajasthan holds its splendour the way sandstone holds the sun — long after the moment has passed. In the darbar halls of Jaipur, beneath mirrored ceilings and jaali screens cut fine as lace, the air itself observed protocol: saffron from the kitchens, rose from the garlands, oud smoke curling from silver burners, and beneath it all, the warm mineral breath of the desert at dusk.
Jaipur Darbar is that air, composed. It was blended for evenings that deserve ceremony — announced by bright gilded spice, held by a floral-oud heart rich enough to slow a conversation, and remembered by a base of sandalwood, suede and amber that lingers like a title.
